The St. Vincent DePaul Society is a non-profit volunteer organization providing assistance to families and individuals in need, regardless of religious affiliation. The St. Vincent DePaul Society conference from St. Margaret Mary church in South Windsor, CT provides most of its support to families and individuals in need in Manchester, Vernon, Tolland, Ellington, East Hartford and South Windsor and to shelters and schools in Hartford. We provide used furniture, clothing, food and funds for fuel assistance to anyone in need.
One of our greatest needs it to provide furniture and bedding to local area families and individuals that have none and do not have the money to buy any. The furniture and bedding is provided to the families at the request of the Department of Children and Families, the Manchester Area Council of Churches, the Hokunum Valley social service agency, local churches and local town social service agencies. All of the furniture and the bedding that we provide are used and most of it has been donated by local families.
